Story behind the Jonathan Hischke Podcast:
LA-based band Dot Hacker features perhaps the most accomplished group of collaborators one might ever expect to be working on the same endeavor. The musicians that comprise the band have played with everyone from Flying Luttenbachers, Hella, and Gnarls Barkley to Broken Bells and The Red Hot Chili Peppers, where guitarist Josh Klinghoffer has enjoyed the lead guitarist position since 2009. Though all members are constantly working on different things, sometimes together, sometimes apart, Dot Hacker has found a way to exist and to deliver compelling music.
How's Your Process? (Play) - the second part of a two-album release, is set to drop on October 7th via ORG Music. The album follows the release of How's Your Process? (Work) - which came out in July, and saw much acclaim from sources like Consequence of Sound, Billboard, Wall Street Journal's Speakeasy, and several others.
We recently had the opportunity to speak with bassist Jonathan Hischke about the albums, the satisfaction of writing this music, and the marriage of artwork with the albums.
